The Adelaide Rundle Mall Fountain. Sometimes, it is worth it to get up early. I took this at 6am, with a long exposure to blow out the sky but also capture the tones and graduation of the light in the fountain itself. The long exposure also helps to give you the mystic motion blur of the water. Try it sometime.
Don’t be afraid to play with white balance. In this case, I was able to bring in a cool tone to the image.
Located outside Adelaide Arcade on the Mall End, the original fountain was case in the late 1800s and was actually one of two, originally to be located on North and South Terrace.
The original bigger one can still be scene at Creswell Gardens near Adelaide Oval. What we see today at Rundle Mall was the smaller and probably gets a lot more exposure.
