I think a mistake often made in travel photography is just taking a generic photo of the scene or location. It is satisfying to do, but I get more out of capturing an scene of others interacting with the location. To me, that captures more emotion and adds a new dimension to the photo I’m taking. Like in this, taken at the top of the Rockefeller Centre in New York City. Sure I enjoyed the view, everyone enjoys the view, and I enjoyed taking photos of the view. But I also enjoyed capturing this moment of someone else enjoying it and telling the story in the photo.
