A hero of mine for street photography, Thorsten von Overgaard says ‘When I have something where it is timeless, it could be 1930 or 2014, nobody can really tell and it doesn’t really matter, that’s a good photograph.’ For me I think this shot from Lambeth in London is true to that. This scene looks the same at is probably did way back in the 1960s or 1970s and has stayed the same ever since. I like this style, this timelessness. The old phone booth is a bonus. I took this in 2023, but to me, the scene is timeless.
