I came across this artist selling his paintings on London Bridge. He is the guy in the blue jacket and hat. Speaking to him, he was not from London or the UK but loved to paint, and loved the images that London provided him. He loved colour, and ‘doing special things with colours,’ to highlight a detail, part of a picture or simply to set a mood. For him, he likes to capture the seasons and the mood in his paintings. He described London as vibrant, and a place that has given him so many opportunities. He isn’t just a street hustler. He is a young guy who I got the feeling has had some challenges, but has found an outlet doing what he loves. And for that, I admire him.
