Being Generous

I like this photo. I grabbed it while travelling with Kodak Ektar and the Leica 50mm Summilux. I just like the expression of the guy giving the cup of drink to the girl. Then the other excited girl skipping in. This is something I really like about 50mm lenses especially when shot wide open. You can use a combination of shallow depth and isolating the subject to tell a nice story, with multiple dimensions. What storey do you see in this picture?

50mm high speed lenses are easy to get into with photography and let you experiment a lot. They are inexpensive and fun. I’m going to do a write up on 50mm lenses soon and why you should get one. If you have an interchangeable lens camera, chances are the manufacturer offers a range of high speed 50mm lenses for you to get started with.

Generosity, in all its forms, has a remarkable ability to transcend the barriers of language, culture, and geography. It is a universal language that touches the hearts and souls of people from all walks of life. Whether it’s a simple act of kindness, a charitable donation, or a selfless gesture, generosity speaks directly to our shared humanity. It conveys compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to alleviate the suffering of others. Regardless of our differences in beliefs, values, or backgrounds, generosity unites us in the pursuit of a more compassionate and harmonious world. It fosters connections, breaks down walls, and creates a ripple effect of positivity that knows no bounds. From the smallest acts of giving to the grandest philanthropic endeavours, generosity is a language understood by all, reminding us of our interconnectedness and our capacity to make a difference in the lives of others.
